Junior Sales & Marketing Specialist (Construction & Heavy Machinery)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Sales & Marketing Specialist to drive business growth for Zoomlion machinery across construction, mining, agriculture, logistics, and government sectors in Djibouti.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted sectors.
• Promote and sell Zoomlion machinery and equipment to potential clients.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activities, and industry trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, dealers, government agencies, and corporate clients.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations, demonstrations, quotations, and proposals.
• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals in line with company policies.
• Participate in exhibitions, trade fairs, roadshows, and other marketing activities.
• Monitor sales pipelines and maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems.
• Coordinate with technical and after‑sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and market intelligence reports.
• Follow up on customer payments and support credit recovery efforts where necessary.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales and marketing, preferably in heavy machinery, construction equipment, automotive, logistics, or industrial products.
• Experience in B2B sales and account management is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the Djibouti construction, logistics, port, and infrastructure sectors is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with CRM software.
