Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Wastewater Treatment Plant Manager to lead operations at the Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role ensures the WWTP and associated collection systems run efficiently, comply with environmental regulations, and support mission‑critical activities of U.S. armed forces.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the wastewater treatment plant and collection network.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal discharge permits through regular sampling and laboratory analysis.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality performance metrics.
• Plan and supervise complex or high‑risk service tasks, providing clear instructions and resources to crew members.
• Maintain accurate logs, equipment readings, and performance reports for management review.

Required profile

• Valid WW Operators certificate or equivalent highest wastewater certification.
• Proven experience managing activated‑sludge processes and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of environmental compliance and safety standards.
• Ability to train and evaluate crew performance, fostering continuous improvement.
