Civil Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

KBR is seeking a detail‑oriented Civil Engineer with strong AutoCAD skills to support construction projects at the Djibouti Africa camp and Lemonier Naval Base. The role involves preparing, reviewing, and updating engineering drawings and technical documentation while ensuring compliance with NAVFAC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, develop, modify, and maintain civil engineering drawings and technical plans using AutoCAD.
• Support site development tasks such as grading, drainage, roads, foundations, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, surveyors, and project managers.
• Assist with site inspections, field measurements, surveys, and technical evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD for producing detailed technical drawings.
• Understanding of civil engineering principles, construction practices, and technical documentation.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
