Intelligence Analyst

About the role

Conduct analysis in support of Force Protection Screening and Vetting (FPSaV) teams operating in Somalia, targeting insider threats, foreign intelligence services, terrorist organisations and insurgent groups within the USAFRICOM area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive foreign intelligence and terrorism analytical products and deliver them on a monthly basis or as required by AFOSI or USAFE/AFAFRICA leadership.
• Review and comment on Contact Reports (CRs).
• Disseminate raw and finished intelligence products to AFOSI leadership, base commanders, operating environment owners and other intelligence/counter‑intelligence customers.
• Fuse intelligence and raw data from multiple sources to identify threats, trends, terrorist cell structures, locations and plot attack information on a weekly to daily basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in international affairs, national security studies, African studies, international business, terrorism, intelligence or related fields.
• At least eight years of analytical experience using HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT and OSINT, with recent experience within the last three years.
• Six years of experience developing intelligence analysis products such as IIRs, desk notes, threat assessments and source validation reports.
• Possess a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
