Materials Specialist – Ordnance

About the role

KBR is seeking a Materials Specialist to support ordnance operations at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role ensures the efficient control, inventory, and shipment of parts and materials critical to mission success.

Key responsibilities

• Administer production control, inventory control, and shipping/receiving of materials.
• Inspect parts and materials for damage, verify quantity, part numbers, and serial numbers.
• Record and prepare status reports for requested and received items.
• Analyze solutions using standard procedures and develop advanced skills under general supervision.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• 3‑5 years of experience in ordnance or ammunition roles within Navy, Marine, Army, or Air Force environments.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in high‑pressure, interruption‑heavy settings.
• Willingness to obtain explosive handling or equipment licensing if required.

Required skills

• OPNAV/NAVSEA certification (or ability to obtain).
• Explosive handling license (if applicable).
