Network Administrator – OCONUS (Djibouti)

About the role

CACI is seeking an experienced Network Administrator to support the CJTF‑HOA/AFRICOM mission in Djibouti, Africa. The role involves maintaining a geographically dispersed network of Cisco equipment and ensuring high availability for critical DoD operations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls across a regional network.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/MAN infrastructure, including VLANs, VLAN trunking, and multicast.
• Monitor network health using Solarwinds and respond to outages to restore service promptly.
• Configure and manage VPN/COMSEC point‑to‑point tunnels with pre‑shared keys and IPsec policies.
• Upgrade firmware and IOS on networking devices and perform routine hardware/software testing.
• Collaborate with system administrators, application teams, and end‑users to resolve network issues.

Required profile

• Mid‑level experience as a network administrator or technician.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with managers, clients, and users.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, mission‑focused environment.
• Willingness to travel locally up to 10% and work OCONUS.
