Billeting Technician – Living Quarters Management

About the role

KBR is seeking a Billeting Technician to oversee the cleanliness, safety and maintenance of living quarters for clients and civilian contractors at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role combines hands‑on housekeeping with front‑desk and administrative duties to ensure high‑quality accommodation services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning of bachelor quarters, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, replenishing toiletries and preparing designated rooms.
• Conduct inspections, identify deficiencies and coordinate timely service orders with operations.
• Direct subcontractor staff to uphold safety, cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Maintain accurate vacancy and occupancy records and manage key‑control duties.
• Operate the customer service desk: handle reservations, assign quarters, update occupancy data and perform related administrative tasks.
• Track inventory of supplies and consumables for living quarters.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience in a hotel, lodging or hospitality environment.
• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 1‑3 years relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to perform manual housekeeping tasks.
• Experience with front‑desk operations and customer service is desired.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• General competency in Microsoft Office applications.
