About the role
The Junior Lawyer will join AYMAN SAID LAW FIRM in Djibouti on a full‑time, on‑site basis. Working closely with senior attorneys, you will support both advisory and litigation matters across a wide range of practice areas.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct legal research on Djiboutian statutes, regulations and case law.
- Draft and review contracts, pleadings, memoranda and legal opinions.
- Assist in case preparation, document management and filing.
- Attend client meetings under supervision and prepare case summaries.
- Support negotiations and dispute‑resolution processes.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers to ensure compliance with local laws across practice areas.
- Maintain accurate case files and support the team in multi‑matter management.
Required profile
- Strong legal research and analytical abilities, with knowledge of Djiboutian law.
- Proficiency in drafting and reviewing legal documents.
- Interest or understanding of commercial, corporate, banking, labor, tax, criminal or maritime law.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in French and English; Arabic is a plus.
- High professional ethics, attention to detail and respect for confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks.
- Master’s degree in Law (or equivalent); admission to practice in Djibouti or eligibility is advantageous.
- Prior internship or junior‑level experience in a law firm, corporate legal department or judicial setting is beneficial.
