Private Sector Engagement Expert

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Private Sector Engagement Expert to support the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme (AESPP Boost). The role focuses on strengthening private‑sector participation, business development, innovation, investment and commercial opportunities across African and European space ecosystems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase private‑sector involvement in the space sector.
• Conduct market and value‑chain analyses to identify business opportunities.
• Provide business support, matchmaking, and commercialization assistance to companies, entrepreneurs and investors.
• Facilitate access to finance and promote investment flows between Africa and the EU.
• Engage stakeholders to foster industrial cooperation and innovation within the space, geospatial and technology sectors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics, business administration, engineering, innovation management or a related field (or four additional years of relevant experience if the degree is absent).
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in private‑sector development, industrial cooperation, innovation, business development or investment facilitation.
• At least 4 years of experience engaging companies, entrepreneurs or investors, including market/value‑chain analysis, business support, matchmaking, commercialization or finance access.
• Experience in the space, geospatial or technology sector and familiarity with African contexts is highly relevant.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
