Referee for US Navy MWR Sports Programs

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Referee to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia, overseeing MWR sports and recreation events to ensure fair play and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Officiate recreational and competitive sporting events according to established rules.
• Inspect playing areas, equipment, and facilities for safety before and during events.
• Communicate with coaches, players, spectators, and staff to maintain order and sportsmanship.
• Resolve conflicts professionally while maintaining control of the game.
• Assist with coordination and execution of MWR sports leagues, tournaments, and special events.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years experience coordinating organized team sports or recreation activities.
• Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance.
