Site Manager (Contingency Hire)

About the role

The Distribution Center seeks a Site Manager to oversee all logistics functions, including receiving, storage, inventory, packaging, COSIS, stock control, and shipping. The role supports both DLA wholesale and Army SSA retail operations and may require second or third shift coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Operate distribution functions and ensure efficient, cost‑effective service delivery.
• Provide overall supervision of contractor employees, including planning, scheduling, coaching, and reporting.
• Serve as the primary government point of contact for contract matters and respond to communications within stipulated timeframes.
• Manage quality programs, conduct surveillance, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other government data systems for operational tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Distribution Management, Business Management, or Business Administration.
• Minimum five years of experience in Distribution Management or ten years of progressive management experience in similar operations.
• At least three years of recent experience using automated warehouse management systems.
• Experience with Army SSA logistics and ability to plan, control, manage, and complete work successfully.
