Chinese Mandarin & Cantonese CAT III Linguist

About the role

Valiant Integrated Services is looking for highly proficient linguists to provide interpretation, transcription, and translation services for U.S. operations. The role involves working in austere environments and supporting mission‑critical language needs.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately translate, transcribe, and interpret Chinese Mandarin and Cantonese to English and vice‑versa.
• Convey colloquial, slang, and cultural nuances in both languages.
• Analyze foreign language documents and provide cultural context.
• Travel to and operate within austere locations as required.
• Perform any related tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a TS/SCI clearance.
• ILR Level 3/3 proficiency in Chinese Mandarin (native ability preferred).
• Extensive knowledge of Chinese culture; native familiarity is a plus.
• Ability to work under stress, meet tight deadlines, and lift up to 50 lb.
• Medical fitness, including hearing standards and required immunizations.
