Fire Alarm Technician (NICET III) – Djibouti

About the role

KBR is seeking a qualified Fire Alarm Technician to support Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role involves servicing, repairing, and installing fire alarm and suppression systems to ensure the safety of U.S. armed forces operating on the base.

Key responsibilities

• Service, inspect, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform on‑site emergency programming, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings for system installation and upgrades.
• Install fire alarm components such as panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, and detectors.
• Maintain compliance with NFPA codes and KBR safety standards while carrying required keys, radio, and telephone at all times.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in fire protection life‑safety, including fire alarm installation and programming.
• NICET Level III certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Secret security clearance.
• Comfort working at heights above 50 ft and ability to work in a rotational call‑out schedule.

Required skills

• Experience with Simplex 4100E, FIRELITE, Monaco BTX, Gamewell E3, Honeywell, Det‑tronics, Secutron, and Auto Pulse fire alarm panels.
• Low‑voltage wiring and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of NFPA fire alarm codes.
• Fire alarm system programming and diagnostics.
