About the role
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a Programme Policy Officer for Research, Assessment & Monitoring (RAM) to lead the RAM unit in Djibouti. This four‑month assignment reports directly to the Deputy Director and requires autonomous work to support planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of WFP activities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the RAM unit for WFP Djibouti, coordinating with the RAM unit at headquarters (Rome) and the Regional Office (Nairobi).
- Conduct statistical and economic analyses to inform programme planning and performance monitoring.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned with WFP results and quality standards.
- Prepare analytical reports and briefings for senior management and partners.
- Provide technical guidance on data collection, analysis, and interpretation to programme teams.
Required profile
- University degree in economics, statistics, social sciences or a related field.
- Relevant experience in research, assessment, monitoring or evaluation, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
- Ability to work independently and deliver high‑quality analytical outputs.
- Strong understanding of WFP policies, results‑based management and quality standards.
