Risk Analyst – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

The Risk Analyst will identify, assess, and mitigate operational, financial, regulatory and reputational risks across our global platform. Working remotely, you will analyze large datasets, detect abusive behavior and design controls to protect both the business and its users.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor platform data to spot emerging risks such as payment fraud, account takeovers, spam, phishing and synthetic identity networks.
• Query large datasets using SQL, Python or similar tools to uncover attack vectors and quantify impact.
• Design and implement rules, models and workflows that detect and prevent high‑risk activity while minimizing friction for legitimate users.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance and Legal teams to embed risk controls throughout the product lifecycle and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Act as a primary responder during large‑scale fraud spikes or other active risk events, making rapid decisions to contain losses.
• Build dashboards and reports to track key risk indicators and communicate findings to leadership.
• Provide feedback on internal risk tools and work with engineers to improve detection capabilities and automate reviews.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party risk intelligence vendors and threat‑intelligence feeds.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in risk analysis, fraud intelligence, trust & safety analytics or financial‑crime investigations within tech, e‑commerce or fintech.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate raw data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to non‑technical stakeholders, including executives and legal teams.
• Familiarity with global compliance frameworks such as AML, KYC, GDPR or PSD2.
• Proactive curiosity and ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives in a fast‑paced environment.
