Data Centre Manager – Djibouti

About the role

Wingu is seeking an experienced Data Centre Manager to lead the operational delivery of its Djibouti data centre. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and 24/7 ready services in a mission‑critical environment while building a high‑performing team for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe, reliable, and effective day‑to‑day operation of the Djibouti data centre, maintaining high availability, safety and security standards.
• Oversee performance, preventive maintenance, capacity planning and condition monitoring of critical infrastructure.
• Take charge during major incidents and emergencies, coordinating response, communication and service restoration.
• Coordinate cross‑functional issue resolution across Data Centre Services, Technical Infrastructure and supporting functions.
• Develop and manage a capable NOC team through clear KPIs, coaching, cross‑training and knowledge sharing.
• Ensure new customer deployments are operationally ready and manage escalations effectively.
• Strengthen emergency readiness, continuity plans, operational risk management, documentation and audit follow‑up.
• Hold vendors and contractors accountable for safe, quality delivery and drive continuous operational improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, Data Centre Operations or a related technical field.
• Relevant qualification in Operations Management or Business Administration may be considered when supported by substantial experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in data centre or mission‑critical infrastructure operations.
