Fire Crew Chief EMT

About the role

We are seeking a Fire Crew Chief EMT to lead fire and emergency services personnel at KBR’s Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The incumbent will act as crew leader or incident commander for a range of emergencies, ensuring safety and mission continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage fire and emergency services teams during emergency and non‑emergency situations.
• Serve as incident commander for structural, aircraft, HazMat/CBRNE, rescue, medical and other incidents.
• Maintain operational readiness of personnel and equipment, overseeing training, fire prevention, public education and communications.
• Supervise crew‑level administration and work details, and act as fill‑in Assistant Fire Chief when qualified.
• Enforce appearance, physical fitness, grooming standards and conduct in accordance with medical direction.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board certifications: Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Fighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, HazMat Awareness & Operations & I.C.
• Nationally registered EMT‑Basic or higher.
• Fluent English, valid passport (12 months) and driver’s license (6 months).
