Logistics Specialist

About the role

The Logistics Specialist will coordinate the movement of goods and equipment both locally and internationally, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations. This role supports procurement and operations teams by planning and optimizing logistics processes.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate local and international transportation of goods and equipment.
• Monitor shipments, track logistics costs and prepare related reports.
• Manage inventory levels, warehouse operations and conduct periodic stock counts.
• Prepare shipping and customs documentation and liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and company policies.
• Resolve transportation and delivery issues promptly.
• Support fleet movement and vehicle utilization where required.
• Monitor supplier and transporter performance and implement cost‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Knowledge of customs clearance and import/export procedures for heavy machinery.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with logistics management systems.
