Procurement Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our team in Djibouti. The ideal candidate is a mechanical or electrical engineer with 2–3 years of procurement experience, passionate about sourcing, supplier management and ensuring timely delivery of engineering materials and equipment to support our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Source and procure engineering materials, equipment, spare parts, and services according to business requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations, negotiate pricing and recommend cost‑effective solutions.
• Prepare and process purchase requisitions, purchase orders and related documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and delivery schedules.
• Monitor supplier performance for quality, cost efficiency and on‑time delivery.
• Follow up on purchase orders and resolve supplier‑related issues.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 2–3 years of procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management and purchasing practices.
• Experience sourcing engineering materials, industrial equipment, mechanical or electrical components and spare parts.
• International procurement experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Djibouti.
