Programme Policy Consultant – Climate Solutions & Resilience

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Programme Policy Consultant to support its Climate Solutions and Resilience portfolio in Djibouti. This short‑term consultancy will contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of policies that address climate‑related risks to food security.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating climate‑solutions and resilience policies aligned with WFP strategic objectives.
• Conduct policy analysis and provide evidence‑based recommendations for programme design.
• Coordinate with country, regional and global stakeholders to ensure coherent implementation.
• Prepare briefing notes, reports and presentations for senior management and partners.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of climate‑related interventions on food security outcomes.

Required profile

• University degree in environmental science, climate policy, international development or a related field.
• Relevant experience in policy analysis, programme management or humanitarian operations.
• Understanding of climate change impacts on food security and resilience.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural, multi‑stakeholder environment.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French is an asset.
