Trainer & Maintainer Specialist – Vehicle Sustainment

About the role

MANTECH is looking for a motivated Trainer & Maintainer Specialist to join its vehicle sustainment team at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The role combines technical training delivery with hands‑on maintenance support for multiple vehicle families worldwide under the ALECS program.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver curriculum and instructional materials for technical vehicle training.
• Coordinate class logistics, conduct training sessions and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Assess training needs and update content to reflect emerging technologies and trends.
• Provide direct maintenance support to vehicle fleets across global locations.
• Maintain awareness of information‑technology training requirements and new instructional techniques.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years relevant experience, or high school diploma with 10 years experience.
• Successful completion of a TRADOC‑approved Army Instructor course (e.g., ABIC) or equivalent civilian certification.
• For wrecker training, a current Class A Commercial Driver’s License and either three years wrecker experience or specific Army certifications.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening, hold a valid driver’s license for the work location, and possess a passport valid at least one year beyond the start date.
• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
• Willingness to travel to U.S. and OCONUS sites.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lb, work in noisy environments, and perform basic manual tasks.
