Fire Crew Chief EMT

About the role

KBR is seeking a Fire Crew Chief EMT to lead and manage fire and emergency services personnel at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role involves overseeing both emergency and non‑emergency situations, acting as crew leader or incident commander for a variety of incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure operational readiness of assigned personnel and equipment, supervising training, work details, fire prevention, public education and communications.
• Serve as crew leader or incident commander for structural, aircraft, HazMat/CBRNE, rescue, medical and other emergencies.
• Act as fill‑in Assistant Fire Chief when qualified.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• DoD, IFSAC or Pro Board certifications: Fire Officer I, Fire Inspector I, Fire Instructor I, Fire Fighter I & II, Airport Firefighter, HazMat Awareness & Operations & I.C.
• Nationally Registered EMT‑Basic or higher.
• Fluent English, valid passport (12+ months) and driver’s license (6+ months).

Required skills

• DoD/IFSAC/ProBoard HazMat Technician (preferred).
• DoD/IFSAC/ProBoard Driver Operator certifications: Pumper, ARFF, Aerial, MWS (preferred).
