Fire Suppression Technician (NICET III) – Djibouti

About the role

KBR is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician (NICET III) to support fire alarm systems at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role involves servicing, repairing, installing, and testing a variety of fire alarm products while ensuring compliance with NFPA standards and maintaining base safety.

Key responsibilities

• Service, inspect, and test fire alarm and related systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform on‑site emergency troubleshooting, programming, and repairs of fire alarm systems.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings for fire alarm and related electrical systems.
• Diagnose failures, conduct preventative maintenance, and replace components as needed.
• Install fire alarm panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, and other system components.
• Maintain continuous on‑base communication equipment and participate in rotational call‑out service.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience in fire protection life‑safety, specifically fire alarm installation and programming.
• NICET Level III certification in fire alarm systems.
• Ability to obtain or hold a Secret security clearance.
• Comfort working at heights above 50 ft and ability to read and interpret design plans and construction drawings.
• Strong computer literacy and effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with Simplex 4100E, FIRELITE, Monaco BTX, Gamewell E3, Honeywell, Det‑tronics, Secutron, and Auto Pulse fire alarm panels.
• Knowledge of NFPA fire alarm codes and low‑voltage wiring troubleshooting.
• Fire alarm system programming and access‑control integration.
• Blueprint and schematic analysis for fire alarm and related electrical systems.
