Lifeguard – Pool Safety and Rescue

About the role

The Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining safety and order at the pool facility, enforcing rules, and responding to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor swimming areas, enforce facility rules, and ensure patron safety.
• Perform water rescues, administer CPR, First Aid, AED, and other emergency care.
• Conduct routine inspections of the pool, deck, rescue equipment, and safety devices.
• Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, lifeguard stations, restrooms, and surrounding areas.
• Assist with aquatic programs, swim events, and special MWR functions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and CPR, First Aid, AED certifications.
• Minimum one year of lifeguarding experience in a public or military aquatic facility.
• Valid passport (minimum one year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.

Required skills

• Advanced swimming and water rescue techniques.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED administration.
• American Red Cross Lifeguard certification.
• Ability to remain alert and maintain concentration for extended periods.
