Scorekeeper for US Navy MWR Programs

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Scorekeeper to support a US Navy Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program on Diego Garcia. The role involves providing accurate scorekeeping and timekeeping services for athletic competitions and recreational events.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the official scorekeeper or timekeeper for athletic competitions and sporting events.
• Operate scoreboards, game clocks, timing systems, and other event equipment.
• Maintain official team rosters, verify player eligibility, and record game statistics.
• Prepare athletic facilities prior to events, including setup and testing of equipment.
• Inspect equipment, report malfunctions, and assist with event setup and breakdown.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience supporting organized sports or recreational programs.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of scoring procedures, game timing, and rules for various sports.
• Ability to operate electronic scoreboards and timing equipment.
