Materials Specialist – Ordnance

About the role

KBR is seeking a Materials Specialist focused on Ordnance to support operations at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role ensures the efficient control, inventory, shipping and receiving of ordnance parts and materials, enabling deployed forces to maintain mission readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Administer production and inventory control for ordnance materials.
• Inspect incoming parts for damage, verify quantities, part numbers and serial numbers.
• Prepare and maintain status reports on requested and received items.
• Coordinate shipping and receiving activities in a high‑pressure, austere environment.
• Support continuous improvement of logistics processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• 3‑5 years of experience in ordnance, ammunition, or munitions roles within Navy, Marine, Army, or Air Force organizations.
• Prior experience supporting Navy BOS/Facility Support operations in remote or austere settings.
• Strong ability to prioritize work and operate under multiple interruptions.
• Excellent communication, leadership and customer‑relation skills.
