Systems Control Watch Officer (OCONUS)

About the role

The Systems Control Watch Officer provides continuous situational awareness of the forward enterprise and its ancillary networks. Based OCONUS, the role supports senior leadership by delivering timely analysis, assessments, and briefings on operational, political, and economic developments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage real‑time situational awareness of the forward enterprise and integrated networks.
• Collect, analyze, and synthesize classified and open‑source information to produce assessments and briefings.
• Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet evolving operational requirements.
• Monitor strategic and operational developments across Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI).
• Serve as Operations Center Battle Captain, coordinating actions across the network enterprise.
• Prepare and deliver reports and briefings to the Communications Operations Officer and senior leadership.

Required profile

• High school diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
• TS/SCI clearance.
• Minimum 5 years in a 24/7 operational environment such as a Military Operations Center, Tactical Operations Center, Joint Operations Center, Network Operations Center, or Emergency Operations Center.
• Experience in real‑time incident response, operational reporting, multi‑channel communications coordination, and shift‑based operations.
• Current U.S. passport and driver’s license; ability to wear personal protective equipment.

Required skills

• Operating Cisco VTC.
• Proficiency with GIT collaboration tools.
• OneNote, Rocket Chat, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Incident management systems and ticketing platforms.
• Familiarity with Common Operational Picture (COP) tools or dashboard‑based monitoring systems.
• Ability to rapidly synthesize information from multiple sources.
