Emergency Vehicle Technician II (EVT II)

About the role

KBR is seeking an Emergency Vehicle Technician II (EVT II) to support the operational readiness of emergency response vehicles at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The technician will ensure fire apparatus, ambulances, fuel trucks and related equipment remain mission‑capable and compliant with NFPA and NAVFAC standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on emergency vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Maintain diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, drivetrains, steering, suspension, and brake systems.
• Inspect, service, and certify fire apparatus, ambulances, and fuel trucks.
• Use OEM diagnostic software and technical manuals for troubleshooting.
• Document all maintenance actions, parts, and labor in NAVFAC MAXIMO TR.
• Identify warranty items, recalls, and recurring deficiencies.
• Respond to field service calls and emergency repairs as required.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Emergency Vehicle Technician II (EVT II) – Level II for fire apparatus and ambulance.
• Meets NFPA 1071 qualification requirements.
• Minimum three years of experience with emergency vehicles, fire apparatus, ambulances, heavy‑truck or military vehicle maintenance.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain installation access.
