IT Manager (Infrastructure)

About the role

The hospital in Djibouti City seeks an IT Manager (Infrastructure) to lead the design, implementation, operation and continuous improvement of its IT infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, scalability and security of all components that support clinical and business systems such as HIS, PACS and ERP.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an IT infrastructure strategy that aligns with clinical and business needs.
• Oversee data‑center operations, both on‑premise and hybrid, ensuring optimal performance, physical security and proper documentation.
• Manage enterprise network services including LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, internet connectivity, network segmentation and ISP relationships.
• Administer servers, storage, virtualization, cloud and hybrid platforms, handling lifecycle management, backup and disaster‑recovery capabilities.
• Design, test and maintain disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity plans for all critical systems.
• Implement infrastructure security controls such as firewalls, access management and network security in line with regulatory standards.
• Monitor performance, conduct capacity planning and tune systems to maximise reliability.
• Lead infrastructure projects – network upgrades, data‑center enhancements, cloud migrations – delivering on scope, budget and schedule.
• Manage vendor contracts, SLAs and service delivery to ensure cost‑effective support.
• Provide leadership and oversight to the infrastructure team.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing data‑center, network, server and cloud infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure service continuity and security in a healthcare environment.
• Strong project‑management skills and experience coordinating vendor relationships.
