Trainer and Maintainer Specialist

About the role

MANTECH is seeking a motivated Trainer and Maintainer Specialist to join its vehicle sustainment team at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The role supports the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program by delivering technical training and maintenance assistance for multiple vehicle families worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver training curricula, modules and instructional materials for vehicle maintenance.
• Conduct classroom and hands‑on training sessions, coordinate class logistics and evaluate training effectiveness.
• Assess training needs and update content to reflect emerging technologies and best practices.
• Provide direct maintenance support and troubleshooting for vehicle fleets as required.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of IT training trends, methods and equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years relevant experience, or High School Diploma with 10 years experience.
• Successful completion of a TRADOC‑approved Army Instructor course or equivalent civilian certification.
• Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License; for wrecker instruction, either three years wrecker experience or the required Army certifications (H8, MOS 3536).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening and possess a valid passport.
• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret security clearance.
