Materials Specialist – Ordnance

About the role

KBR is seeking a Materials Specialist to support ordnance operations at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti. The role ensures smooth production, inventory, and shipping processes for critical parts and materials, enabling deployed personnel to focus on mission execution.

Key responsibilities

• Administer production control, inventory control, and shipping/receiving of materials.
• Inspect parts and materials for damage; verify quantity, part numbers, and serial numbers.
• Record and prepare status reports on requested and received items.
• Support standard procedures while developing advanced problem‑solving skills.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• 3‑5 years of ordnance or ammunition experience in Navy, Marine, Army, or Air Force environments.
• 5+ years of relevant experience or equivalent education.
• Ability to work in high‑pressure, austere or remote settings.
• Willingness to obtain explosive‑handling licensing if required.
