Firefighter / EMT (Structural & Airport)

About the role

Join KBR’s fire and emergency services team at Camp Lemonnier Naval Base in Djibouti, providing fire suppression, emergency medical response, and rescue operations for the U.S. armed forces.

Key responsibilities

• Control and extinguish structural and aircraft fires.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide EMT care.
• Perform rescue activities and public assistance.
• Conduct fire investigations, prevention, and pre‑fire planning.
• Maintain fire apparatus, equipment, and facilities.
• Complete associated administrative duties and record‑keeping.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years experience as a firefighter.
• Fluent English.
• Valid passport (book) with ≥12 months validity and at least four blank visa pages.
• Valid driver’s license with ≥6 months validity.

Required skills

• Fire Fighter I & II certification (DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard).
• Airport Firefighter certification (DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard).
• HazMat Awareness & Operations certification (DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard).
• National Registry Emergency Medical Technician (NR‑EMT) certification.
• CPR certification.
• Driver/Operator – Pumper, ARFF, Aerial, MWS (DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard).
