Head of Corporate Banking

About the role

The Head of Corporate Banking will lead the bank's corporate banking strategy in Djibouti, driving revenue, profitability and portfolio growth. This senior position reports directly to senior management and oversees a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the corporate banking business plan, ensuring achievement of commercial targets.
• Build and expand relationships with large corporates, institutions and key business groups across lending, deposits, cash management and trade finance.
• Lead acquisition of new corporate clients and deepen existing relationships through cross‑selling and tailored solutions.
• Oversee credit assessment, pricing, risk‑return discipline and portfolio quality, managing concentrations and early detection of deteriorating exposures.
• Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Treasury, Trade Finance, Compliance and Operations to deliver high‑quality solutions across Djibouti and regional markets.

Required profile

• Significant senior‑level corporate banking experience in a commercial or universal bank.
• Proven track record of corporate portfolio growth, revenue and profitability.
• Strong understanding of corporate credit, financial analysis, risk‑return pricing and regulatory requirements.
• Leadership and people‑management capabilities, preferably with exposure to Djibouti, Africa or Francophone banking markets.
